Schöne ruhige Anlage mit großem Zimmer, schöner Aussicht und tollem Außenbereich. Gerade, wer nicht mitten im Touristentrubel übernachten möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Zur nächstgelegenen Fähre sind es ca. 20 min. zu Fuß. Auch ein größerer Supermarkt ist in ca. 15 min. fußläufig zu erreichen. Auch das Hotel Presidente, von wo aus viele Ausflüge (pick up point) starten ist in 10 min. zu Fuß super zu erreichen.

− Eine kleine Option zum selbst kochen (nicht nur Mikrowelle), ein Toaster und Wasserkocher wären toll gewesen. Sicherlich soll man das Restaurant im Hotel nutzen, aber manchmal mag man sich doch selbst etwas anderes zubereiten. Gerade bei speziellen Ernährungsbedürfnissen-/-wünschen. Aber es war ok und ging ja irgendwie. Am Abreisetag - obwohl wir den Check out bis 15 Uhr verlängert hatten (Rückflug war erst sehr spät am Abend) - wurde gedrängelt, dass man das Zimmer verlässt. Um 14.50 Uhr klingelte das Telefon im Zimmer. Wir waren gerade am gehen und sind deshalb nicht mehr rangegangen. Ich nehme an, dass es die Rezeption war und fragen wollte, wo wir bleiben. Auch unterschiedliche Aussagen vom Personal waren etwas verwirrend. Erst hieß es, wenn das Zimmer am nächsten Tag noch frei ist, könnten wir noch länger als 15 Uhr im Zimmer bleiben, müssten dann allerdings den Tagespreis zahlen. Am nächsten Morgen erklärte uns ein anderer Mitarbeiter, dass es nur eine Verlängerung für 1 Std. gäbe. Als ich sagte, dass man uns am Vorabend sagte, bis 15 Uhr (gegen Zahlung) zu verlängern sei kein Problem (denn das Zimmer war noch frei), wurde es zugesagt, jedoch über 15 Uhr hinaus wurde abgelehnt. Das war so ein kleines "Geschmäckle" zum Schluss. Aber ansonsten waren wir vollkommen zufrieden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Sina Suites is truly a hidden gem of Cancun if you enjoy the authentic experience of Mexico. The rooms are large and clean and the staff is always available and willing to help. They have a large, relaxing out door pool and a dock overlooking the lagoon, where you can see the entire hotel zone lit up at night, including the Skywheel in La Isla across the lagoon. Situated in a quiet cul de sac at the north end of the hotel zone, it is quieter and more relaxed than other more prominent resorts. It also makes using UBER easier since the area isn't as heavily controlled by the "taxi cartels" found at other places in the hotel zone.I would definitely visit again.

− If it's your first time in Mexico, there is a few things about staying here you should know. Central air conditioning is not very common, and while every unit does have a mini split which works well in the sleeping area, the front living room doesn't get very cool. But it does have a ceiling fan so that helps. Also, and this is very important, Sina suites is an older complex than some of the other resorts in the hotel zone. The older plumbing systems in many parts of Mexico, are not designed to flush ANYTHING but human waste, including used toilet paper. There is always a trash bin next to the toilets for toilet paper and the staff does an excellent job keeping them clean and tidy every day, but when staying here follow this rule when using the toilets: "If it doesn't come out of your body, it goes in the trash."
