I just returned from Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya and it was an amazing time. As a Globalist member, the team really went out of their way to make my experience special. The room, food, and especially service were all top notch. I’d like to call out Lourdes in general management, my butler Fernanda, and cabana bartender Carlos for being truly exceptional. I plan to revisit the resort very soon!

This was a great couple retreat. I enjoyed all the evening activities and was able to learn how to make macrame during my break from the pool.

We went with a group of friends, there was 10 of us. We had a fabulous time. The food was amazing. The staff was wonderful and the atmosphere wasn’t pleasant at first but that was due to the overwhelming amount of seaweed on the beach but it was all cleaned up by the 3rd day then everything was awesome. Drinks kept flowing and food kept coming so it was great.

− O restaurante principal (o comedor) nunca estava aberto, os pedidos eram só a carta, o que foge do conceito contratado, pagamos para ter tudo incluído e não existia um buffet para servir, e a comida que tinha nos restaurantes a carta nem sempre era boa. Falso tudo incluído, outra coisa, beira da praia, mas o sargaço tampava a praia toda. Pagámos por ser na praia e tudo incluído, não usufruímos nada disso! Além do mais tinha um casal gritando ao lado, mesmo que nós tenhamos ligado na recepção e efetuamos reclamações os funcionários não resolveram, no meio da noite tivemos que ir até lá pessoalmente, então nós fomos trocamos de quarto. Super desagradável

Dream Wedding- Perfection all week’

We held our destination wedding in June 2026 with 40 of our closest friends and family. The wedding resort selection started in November 2024 and ever since that day, we knew we would be well taken care of at the Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya. This resort knows not only hospitality, but makes you feel like family. The process was very streamlined and easy to follow thanks to the communication from the wedding sales office. From initial introductions to the end of the reception, they were 100% hands on and making sure we were fully satisfied with everything. Wedding Coordinators: Monserrath was our main contact and I couldn’t have been more pleased with her throughout this process. She was always available and answered all our questions thoroughly. Even with the odd requests she found an answer. She made sure she understood my vision and she exceeded all my hopes and dreams for our wedding day. The whole day was flawless thanks to her coordination behind the scenes and the entire team she has. I cannot thank her enough for how incredibly appreciative I am of her. The Venue: Our ceremony was held at the Ocean Front Gazebo and our reception was at Lola Rooftop. The gazebo was natural greens on it that makes it pop along side the ocean. There is a wonderful ocean breeze that helps keep everyone cool. The sound system was perfect for everyone to hear. It is near the pool but everyone in the pool and surrounding area stopped and watched our wedding. It was quite magically! I mean, everyone does love a wedding! Cocktail reception was just in the lawns right next to the gazebo which made the transition seamless. The grounds were beautiful! Reception is upstairs on a rooftop but the view is incredible! The ocean and palm trees as your background is quite amazing, along with the sun setting! There are no bathrooms up on the rooftop, but you can quickly head down to Lola Beach which was no issue with anyone in our group. We had a simple set up with white linens and chairs, and glass vases with calla lilies for our centerpieces. It was breathtaking. The Food: What a spread Hyatt Zilara offers! No one left hungry and everyone was so complimentary of the food. It was delicious! The cake was so good! I wish that could have fit in our suitcases. The team worked so efficiently I didn't even notice anyone bringing up the food or restocking it. Incredible! Kudos to the culinary team! The Rooms: We had a mix of room types in our block. I did not hear anything negative from our group about the rooms. Everyone was satisfied with how clean and well kept they were. They were very large rooms with great bathrooms! There were a few of us that had swim up pools and they got us all in a row so we could have our own "pool party" back there when we wanted. It worked out perfectly! Housekeeping staff was amazing! We could tell they did truly care for our room. We did not use our personal butler as we just were not in our room that much, but others did and were very satisfied with their attention to detail. We heard compliments all week from the staff of how happy they were to work at our event and how they were just as happy for us! This resort knows weddings. We truly could not have asked for anything more. We would recommend this resort over and over again. Thank you Monserrath for being amazing, making us feel special and for being part of our wedding day! Until we see you all again <3

Good resort overall, just be ready to be hounded by a sales pitch while checking in

We loved the resort overall. Its smaller and more quiet which lead to more relaxation. PROS The pool was amazing and clean, we spent most of the time there. The bartenders and service work really hard to make sure you're taken care of. We rented a Cabana one day to stay out of the sun and also loved that, Carlos was the best host and a great man. Zen spa is its own little paradise right outside of the resort, we went 2 days in a row for hydrotherapy. The room was clean and we loved our swim out pool. The food was well above average, sushi was our favorite of all the meals but we liked everything we tried. The STAFF members are wonderful, the are all so friendly and attentive. The beach if very nice even though we couldn't swim due to the seaweed issue in the area. We used the gym everyday and were impressed by the cool vibe of it, we got a good workout in daily and the equipment was in good condition. Overall, it was a very nice stay and we highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful resort. CON The check in went well at first and after we got our keys, we were taken to the "vip" employees. The last thing we wanted when we arrived was a long sales pitch about just going to breakfast to look at another resort. The gentleman made us feel terrible and even used the pitch, this is how I feed my family so please come. Me as a sales manager or a large company, I know the tricks but this was unprofessional and turned off from the resort for good. Not to mention, the day over we had them running to us asking about it again after we got coffee. We told them to please stop and we felt very uncomfortable, they finally did. For this reason alone, we will never be back. It left a bad taste in our mouth and really killed the overall check in experience when we were excited to start unwinding.
