La propriétaire répond rapidement.

− Très loin du centre (50 min à pied), le quartier vraiment pas terrible. Pas propre à notre arrivée. Chasse d'eau des toilettes non tirée, vaisselle et micro-ondes sales, gazinière grasse... Très peu d'équipement dans la cuisine, pas même une casserole. Le robinet de la cuisine fuit sur le sol, et pour combler le tout le carrelage "explose". On ne peut même plus marcher de la porte d'entrée jusqu'à la cuisine, il faut longer les murs pour éviter de marcher sur le carrelage qui est en train de gonfler et d'exploser au fur et à mesure. Ces problèmes ont déjà été relevés dans d'autres commentaires et la propriétaire est au courant de ces problèmes. Ça ne l'empêche pas de continuer à louer cet "appartement", surtout au prix proposé c'est honteux.

− Très loin du centre, quartier particulier. Appartement sale à notre arrivée, chasse d'eau pas tirée, vaiselle, gazinière et micro-onde sale. Le robinet de la cuisine fuit et vous coule sur les pieds.. Le carrelage explose, ça monte comme une montagne et on ne peut plus marcher de l'entrée jusqu'à la cuisine, il faut longer les murs... La propriétaire est au courant car ces soucis étaient déjà dénoncés dans d'autres commentaires mais elle se permet quand même de louer cet "appartement", au pris auquel elle loue c'est une honte.

The location is very good. 5 minutes from the best beaches and away from the tourist buzz. Best local food on 30th and small shops just outside the house. The room is veery spacious and well equipped so especially recommended for families with kids, but also working is possible as the kitchen counter turns into a desk. Internet connection was without any trouble.

− Just minor points which might be of importance to others but were no issue to me: there was no cleaning during the week I stayed. I guess you can have that, but you would have to communicate it. Also they are building another house in the garden and the construction looks like it will stay running for some time, so the noise from that might affect kids etc.

Bed is comfortable, Wi-Fi is good, friendly cats.

− Water frequently (multiple times per day) unavailable for short periods of time (5 to 10 minutes), occasionally unavailable for long periods of time (12 to 15 hours), hot water rarely available, water pressure usually just a trickle. All electrical circuits wired incorrectly (I checked with tester), risk of damage while recharging your laptop and phone. Exploding floor tiles ! Ceramic tiles on floor installed without spacing, tiles expand on hot days, explode upwards with loud bang, VERY SCARY ! Broken toilet seat (I fixed it), broken toilet flusher (I fixed it), torn shower curtain (I repaired with duct tape), filthy ceiling fan (I cleaned it), toilet paper holder broken, shower curtain rod loose and falls down, loose door handles (I fixed them), burned out exterior light bulb on steep, winding stairs (unsafe to go up or down stairs in dark) … ! No comfortable place to sit in room, two very uncomfortable wooden chairs at kitchen counter. In “better” room that we were moved to for final week of five week stay due to chronic water problems, hot water not even connected at kitchen and bathroom sinks, kitchen sink drain pipe leaks onto floor (I put take out food container underneath and had to empty it multiple times per day), toilet seat broken (déjà vu), torn shower curtain (déjà vu), filthy ceiling fan (déjà vu), bed very uncomfortable, curtain rods are broken broom handles … ! ! ! I agree with previous reviewer of “better” room ; “you’re a fool if you choose to stay here”. This applies to our original room (Gaviota) as well as “better” room (Flamingo) and probably the other rooms in this property. Sra. Lucia clearly does not understand the property management / rental accommodations industry. She clearly does not understand nor care about the requirements and expectations of international travellers. We have stayed in similar priced “economy / budget” accommodations around the world and have never experienced anything like this slum property.
